Spatial Data Infrastructure for Malaysia Land Administration
نویسندگان
چکیده
Land administration started with a manual land tax collection and subsequently moved towards computerised system to improve the land information delivery services. However, three factors in non-technical integration issues (institutional, legalisation and social) have turned out to be the main problems for land administration stakeholders especially at national level for multi-government countries. The implementation of Spatial Data Infrastructures can reduce nontechnical integration issues among land administration stakeholders to produce better decisions for a spatially enabled government. The result from this research could act as a guideline for the making of policy, strategy and management for land information delivery services for multi-government country (federal, state and local). This research will be useful for land administrators, land strategy management decision makers and multi-land researchers in land ownership, land use and land value fields.

Nowadays, one of the most important factor for better land management are the land administration systems. Therefore, it is necessary accurate and up-to-date data on these systems. Common data collection methods, such as photogrammetry and remote sensing, are usually cost-effective and somewhat time-consuming. So, it is necessary to find new methods for data collection in order to keep land adm...
متن کاملLand Information Systems Development and the National Spatial Data Infrastructure in Botswana
Botswana recently embarked on an effort to improve its National Spatial Data Infrastructure (NSDI). This paper takes an example of the country’s effort to improve information for land administration and the problems this effort has had because of a poor spatial data infrastructure. It then discussed how the current effort is likely to have impact on the organization of information for land mana...

Land-titling programs in low-income nations have provided the opportunity to leverage the application of geospatial technology to support low-cost titling and expedite implementation. The spatial data acquired and managed in land administration is often a cornerstone of a broader spatial data infrastructure (SDI) in a country. Geospatial technology use in land titling is often viewed narrowly i...
